Review
A fighting St Mirren team gave a good performance in the first half and the half time score was goal less despite being a cracking half with both sides having chances.
But as seen in the previous game against Hibs, Celtic always had something in the tank and they upped the pace in the second half. Within a minute of the restart Chalmers had put the Bhoys ahead and three goals in ten minutes followed. Johnstone headed home for the second and Chalmers then got the third firing home a Craig cross. Hughes added a fourth before Tommy Gemmell finished off with a rocket penalty after Lennox was brought down in the area.
