Dundee Harp v Celtic – The Celtic met the Harp on East Dock Street Park, Dundee. The Harp put a good team in the field, and most of the well-known Celtic players were present. The game began quietly, but both teams warmed up, and some capital play ensued. The Celtic scored first, but the Harp by capital combined work soon equalised. Thus encouraged, the ground team made some good attempts to hold their own, and saved many determined efforts to lower their colours. At last, however, the Celtic came away and scored a second point, but before half-time the Harp again made the game equal. On the start of the second half the Celtic put on considerable pressure, and the Harp were driven back on the defensive. The Harp were at length somewhat fagged, and the Celtic managed to put on three other points. A good game ended:- Celtic, five goals; Harp, two.
