Sunderland v Celtic –
The well-known Celtic organisation paid a return visit to the Wear borough on Saturday. On two former occasions on which these teams have met the Celts won by a goal. Play was keen, strong, and even up to the call of half time, when the register stood one goal each. The second half was a hard and determined tussle for supremacy throughout, the Celts having their work laid out in meeting the strong defensive powers of the Sunderland backs. Eventually the game resulted in a win for the Celtic by two goals to one.
