Celtic v Rangers – On Celtic Park. The Celts kicked off, but the Rangers at once took possession, and carried the ball over the Celt’s lines. The game then began in earnest. The Rangers scored in fifteen minutes. The Celts pressed during the remainder of this half. Half-time result – a draw – one goal each. On resuming, play continued of a first-class nature, neither team being able to claim any advantage. Each goal in turn was besieged. The game was stopped for a few minutes, owing to an accident to Macpherson. Slack play followed, until Dowds scored a beauty, when the game became exceedingly lively. The Rangers equalised in five minutes. Result :- A draw – two goals each
