Review
In the first half both teams played with great determination, and the game was very evenly contested, the ball being carried from end to end of the field with great rapidity.
Both teams scored, the first half ending one goal each.
The teams started the second half with renewed vigour, and after some determined play, mostly on Kilmarnock territory, the Celts got a second point.
The Alliance Champions, however, retaliated, and carrying the war into the enemy's camp, soon put on the equalising point, but the defence on both sides proved effective, and no further scoring took place.
A splendidly contested game thus ended in a draw of two goals each.
