Partick Thistle v Celtic – Played at Inchview park, Whiteinch, before 3000 spectators. Play all round was most exciting. Paul and Stewart played a splendid game for the Thistle, while Kelly, Dunbar, Blessington, and Madden were most conspicuous for the Celtic. Rain fell before the close. Result:- Celtic two goals; Partick Thistle, one goal

Partick Thistle protested against Celtic in their Glasgow Cup tie, on the ground that Mulvey, one of the Celtic team, had played in a Lanarkshire tie and was therefore ineligible. This was admitted by the Celtic, and the match was ordered to be replayed on Saturday, 12th.
