Trivia
- Two games in two days for Celtic over the holiday period.
- One of the goals was scored by Willie Kivlichan, who was to leave Rangers and move to Celtic later this season. A year later on 8th Feb, he scored twice for Celtic to defeat Rangers in the Scottish Cup.
Review
The cause celebre of Edwardian Scotland, when Jimmy Quinn was ordered off for allegedly kicking Hendry in the face.
The Quinn version was that he jumped over him and that no contact was made. This followed a bad foul on McMenemy by Hendry.
A week later, the SFA accepted the Rangers version, and Quinn was suspended for two months. Celtic players and supporters were outraged, particularly as Hendry (unlike Alec Craig in 1905) failed to intervene on Quinn's behalf.
But by the end of the season, Jimmy would have the last laugh!
