The Glasgow Herald, Monday November 30, 1914
Celtic pressed from the start and quickly established a two goal lead. Just on half-time Dumbarton scored. In the second half the visitors had matters pretty much their own way, and scoring two more goals won somewhat easily.
The Scotsman, Monday, 30th November 1914.
Looking to some of Dumbarton’s performances this season, they were distinctly disappointing against the Celtic, who, on Boghead Park, won as handsomely as their play deserved. Opening against the sun and a gale of wind, McAtee and Gallacher got through for goals before Brown succeeded in notching Dumbarton’s only one. The second half more or less belonged to the Parkheaders. McColl and McMenemy scored other goals. The attendance was estimated at 7000.
