The Glasgow Herald, Monday 2nd October, 1916
Disheartened by a 6 -1defeat at home, Heart of Midlothian had no vestige of fight left them when opposed to the leaders, and Celtic Park was a sleepy hollow compared with the venue which has seen the Tynecastle team as often victorious in defiance of form and their opponents.
