Drawn games at Paisley and Kilmarnock leave Celtic and Rangers in the same relative positions, the defeat of Greenock Morton at Dundee improves the proposition of an interesting struggle for third place. At one stage it appeared as if all three would share the same fate, but experience told in favour of the city players, though it was perilously near the finish when the Champions drew level.
