[…] Some fine play was shown on both sides at Celtic Park, Glasgow, where Celtic had Clyde as visitors. Celtic were for most of the time the more aggressive side, and deserved their narrow victory. Clyde failed in the forward line, but the other sections were as good as those of the opposition. There was no scoring in the first half, but shortly after interval Cassidy scored the only goal of the game with a fast drive, Shingleton having no chance. Attendance, 20,000.
