Match report from The Scotsman, 5th October 1921
At Celtic Park, Glasgow, before 8000 spectators. At the outset Celtic pressed, the forwards playing delightful football, and only clever saving by Bradford prevented them from establishing a commanding lead. McInally, Cassidy, and Gallacherhad great shots turned aside. Towards the interval St Mirren came more into the game. Stevenson struck the post with a fine effort, and Lawson followed with a fast drive, which Shaw held safely. Four minutes from the interval Cassidy succeeded in beating Bradford. The second half was not so interesting. Gallacher scored inthirteen minutes, but after that, the visitors did most of the attacking, and were unlucky not to open their account.
