Match report from The Scotsman, 15th February 1921
[…] Fully 14,000 spectators were present at Love Street yesterday, when Celtic were the visitors in a League game. The encounter was an exceptionally keen one, but with very little of the finer points of the game displayed. Celtic won because they accepted the two chances that came their way, whoile St Mirren wasted too much time in front of goal. Thomson in one occasion had a grand opportunity, but failed to take it. Walker was a hard worker for ST Mirren, but the efforts of the Paisley forwards were nullified by three strong Celtic half-backs. McInally had both goals for his team, and both were netted from close range.
