Match report from The Scotsman, 2nd March 1922
[…] About 7000 spectators witnessed Celtic avenge their Cup defeat on Saturday by beating Hamilton Academicals at Parkhead, Glasgow, by four goals. Their play throughout was of a high standard, the forwards in particular excelling in combination and shooting power. Celtic attacked strongly in the early stages, and WHite was kept busy clearing his goal. During a raid a penalty was awarded for Hall handling, and Dodds converted. Two minutes later McInally raced past the Hamilton backs and left White helpless with a fast drive. After this the visitors' forwards put in a lot of useful work, but Shaw cleverly dealt with shots from Hanlon and McLaren. After the interval Celtic did all the attacking, the visiting forwards seldom getting near Shaw, McLean scored a third goal for the Celtic, and a few minutes from the finish he got through to register a fourth.
