CLYDE’S GOOD DISPLAY AGAINST CELTIC
Clyde fully deserved to draw at Parkhead. Their defence played a resolute game, Shingleton and Forrest being outstanding, and they defied all the efforts of the Celtic forwards. The pitch was soft and treacherous, but both sides gave a capital display. The Clyde forwards had some strong raids and were always dangerous in the vicinity of Shaw. Thompson missed a good chance early in the game, and in the second half Cassidy had an opportunity for Celtic, which was not turned to account. Howard was conspicuous for Clyde, his distribution being very good, and Cringan’s forcing play was of much value to Celtic.
