CELTIC DROP A POINT AT HOME
Celtic failed to impress in their League game with Albion Rovers at Parkhead, Glasgow, and never looked like a winning team. They did the bulk of the pressing in the second half, when the Rovers had to play without the services of Colgan, but the forwards lacked cohesion, and never looked like getting the better of a great defence, When at full strength in the first half the visitors played a strong game, and some good forward play was rewarded when Christie (Arbroath Athletic), who was making his first appearance, scored a good goal. Eight minutes from the finish Celtic were awarded a penalty kick, and Cassidy made the scores level. The attendance would be 5000.
