Celtic Defeated
At Celtic Park, Partick Thistle got the verdict against Celtic in a game more strenuous than scientific. Celtic for once were indifferently served in defence, the goalkeeper being blameworthy on both occasions when Partick Thistle scored. On the other hand the visitors’ goalkeeper and backs were sound, and as usual the Firhill half-backs were prominent. Celtic have been beaten by Rangers, Queen’s Park, and Partick Thistle in the present campaign, and rarely have experienced so barren an intercourse with their city rivals.

CELTS BEATEN AGAIN
Only in the last ten minutes of the game at Celtic Park between the home club and Partick Thistly did the 10,000 spectators present get any real excitement. Celtic were then a goal down, and although they made a great effort and forced many corners, they could not get the equalising goal. In the first half there was very little combined forward play, both sets of full backs dominating the situation. The Thistle’s first goal came following a shot from Salisbury, which Shevlin stopped, but before he could clear Ness was in and tipped the ball into the net. Early in the second half Fleming got past the Thistle backs and had the goal at his mercy, but shot straight into Ramsay’s hands. The Thistle then attacked strongly, and following clever play by McMullan, Salisbury sent in a high shot, which Shevlin allowed to go into the net. Thomson got Celtic’s goal fifteen minutes from the end.
