- Celtic missed a penalty taken by Charlie Napier before Jimmy McGrory headed them into the lead in 29 minutes. There was a strange incident when referee Dawson blew for half-time after only thirty minutes had been played, but play was re-started until the full period was played. Peter Robertson equalised in 37 minutes and McGrory scored the winner five minutes after the interval.
- Joe Kennaway is injured in a collision with Billy Boyd and retired hurt.
- Only two Scottish First Division games were played on Monday they were at Parkhead where Celtic beat Clyde 2-1 and at Hampden Queen’s Park beat Hamilton Accies 1—0.
- A thousand holiday spectators at Dens Park yesterday saw Dundee and Dundee United contend for the Robertson Cup. The Tannadice, Second League team stood up well to their senior opponents, the game ending in a 2-2 draw.
- The Heart of Midlothian and Falkirk drew at one goal each in their Dunedin Cup tie at Tynecastle Park, Edinburgh, last night. The replay will probably take place next week, and the winners will meet Hibernians in the final tie. The Edinburgh club took the opportunity of this holiday fixture, which was witnessed by an attendance of about 4,000.
- A resolution moved in the House of Commons last night by the Secretary of State for Scotland, Sir Godfrey Collins, for the setting up of a Tribunal to inquire into allegations of bribery and corruption in connection with the civic and municipal administration of Glasgow, was agreed to. The Tribunal will consist of Lord Anderson, one of the Scottish High Court Judges, who will be Chairman; Sir Robert, Boothby, K.B.E.; and a third member whose name will be announced later. The findings of the Tribunal will be published.

McGRORY'S GOALS
There were 4,000 spectators at Celtic Park, yesterday, when Clyde were the visitors.
Celtic played with a fairly strong wind in their favour in the first half, and were seldom far from Clyde's goal. Carelessness in finishing, however, preventing them from scoring—even a penalty kick was sent past by Napier—until shortly before the interval when McGrory capped a fine piece of play by heading through.
Clyde made a strong reply, and latterly scored through Boyd, although the general opinion was that the centre was well offside.
McGrory was in good form, and scored a splendid goal shortly after the interval, but that ended the scoring for the evening.
In contact with Boyd, Kennaway met with an injury which necessitated his leaving the field, and McGonagle, deputising in goal, had a couple of fine saves.
All over, Celtic were the superior side, and gave the impression that they were not going all out, in view of the Cup Final on Saturday. Hogg did well at back, and McStay was prominent, as usual. R. Thomson was in fine form, and with McGrory carried off the honours in attack.
Stevenson had no chance with the balls that beat him, and was a sound keeper, but the backs were shaky. Woods did well, but Boyd was Clyde's only dangerous forward.
One player came to grief, Kennaway, the Celtic goalkeeper, who was injured during the second half. That was entirely an accident, suffered through colliding with Boyd when the goalkeeper jumped high to fist the ball clear. Both obviously felt the impact, Boyd kept his feet, but Kennaway collapsed, and after attention, he walked to the pavilion and remained there. McGonagle kept goal for the remainder of the time.
The referee made a strange error in signalling half-time after only half an hour had been played.
