Trivia
- Not unusually The Glasgow Herald did not carry a match report of this Celtic game and made passing mention to the bhoys in the Round-Up, listing Celtic's first scorer as Carruthers in the Results!
- The Soviet Prime Minister, Mr Molotov has protested to the Finnish Government over the artillery incident in which Finns fired on Soviet troops near the frontier north-west of Mainil.

ALBION ROVERS IN FOOTBALL FOREFRONT
Dumbarton’s Happy Ibrox Visit: Rangers Concede a Goal
Apart from Ranger’s all-conquering progress, the play of Albion Rovers has been a particularly bright feature of the Western Section of the Scottish Regional League.
Escaping relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, the Coatbridge club yet contrived to play football of quality, and now they are Rangers’ closest challengers for war-time honours.
On Saturday they took Celtic in their stride, and it will be their aim to clear each obstacle between now and December 16, when they pay their visit to Ibrox.
