Review
Playing with something like the fighting spirit of their teams of the past, Celtic came near to winning their first home game of the season. They had three penalty claims turned down and seemed particularly unlucky not to be awarded one late on the game when Young's arm stopped Brogan's cross-shot. In Kiernan, the home side had the cleverest individual on the field – in the first half especially he had Symon running round in circles and labouring in his rear. Rangers were overwhelmingly superior in making the telling pass .
