- Pat McAuley was dropped for this game and lost his place for the rest of the season to Joe Baillie. The cause of the dropping was that he had asked for more money on top of his wages, something that the corinthian spirited Bob Kelly would not countenance. The other side was that if he didn't get the extra money then he wanted to be transfer-listed. Pat found himself promptly dropped on the director's orders.
