- Jack McAlindon came in for John McPhail. This was his debut game. Despite scoring both goals he was back in the Reserves when McPhail was fit for the next game.
Review
Jackie McAlindon had an excellent game against the Hearts centre half Bobby Dougan and his strnegth and purpose troubled the Hearts player all game. Tully set up both goals, the second of which was a hard driven ball which gave Jimmy Brown in the Hearts goal little chance.
