Review

Scottish Cup Final 1951 programme

There have been many better Cup Finals than this one but few better goals than the one from John McPhail which gave Celtic the trophy for the 16th time.

Hunter made a miracle save midway through the second half from a Humphries half volley that was headed for the top corner.

“As I walked off at Hampden Park I felt I had got everything out of like I had ever wanted. I had become a member of the famous Celtic FC and holder of a Scottish Cup badge all in one year.”
Sean Fallon.
