Review

A loss that left Celtic 5th from bottom with three games left to play in the season.
A jittery start from both sides and after an initial Celtic attack, they found themselves a goal down in four minutes.Stewart was well placed to pick up a long ball from defense which deflected off of Fallon and he calmly slotted his shot past Bonnar into the side netting. Celtic immediately replied when Tully picked the ball up and ran down the wing to cross for McPhail. Telfer failed to trap the ball and McPhail slotted home from 18 yards.
St Mirren kept playing and forced a number of corners. Duncanson and Stewart both missed chances with Bonnar having to make a save tight on the line. At the other end McPhail completely mis-kicked with just Lynch to beat. On 34 minutes Crowe and Rice combined to give the Buddies the lead which they carried to half time.
The second half appears to have been Celtic pressure but with 8 minutes to go a lofted clearance from Williamson was chased by Wilson and carried through an ineffectual Celtic defense and he beat Bonnar from close range.
