Trivia

- With Rangers playing East Fife at Methil, a win would give Celtic a good chance of going top of the League.
Review
In the first minute Peacock let rip with a shot from well outside the penalty area in another of his attempted flyers. It was on target but well saved by Henderson in the Queens goal. Celtic were more aggresive and attacked with zeal and had a number of good chances. Towards the end of the half Fallon was brought down on the edge of the area but Walsh's free kick went over. On the stroke of half time Peacock scored with another dynamic shot. The second half took on the pattern of Celtic attacking and Queens solidly and effectively defending. Patterson equalised on the break from a Johnstone cross. Despite pushing for a winner Celtic failed to find a way through the Queens defense.
