Review
Bonthrone deceived Bonnar in the sixth minute to go one down. Despite pressure from East Fife Celtic still pushed for an equaliser. Walsh had a good shot on goal which was cleared off the line. Collins, Fernie and McPhail all had efforts.East Fife were also pressurising the Celtic goal and on twenty minutes Fleming scored a goal from a mix up between Bonnar and Meechan to give East Fife a 2-0 lead. Just before half time fernie headed a goal for Celtic to make it 2-1 at half time.
In the second half east Fife had much of the play. The third came when Haugney tried to head clear a cross but only succeeded in deliveriing the ball to Fleming who fired home. Fleming completed a hatrick on seventy four minutes.
