Review
There was a very low turnout for this game.
The pitch was heavy and the ball greasy. Bell had a let off when he let a Stein pass back slip through his hands, luckily going out for a corner.
The early stages of the game were even with both teams having chances and both goalkeepers called into action. Bell was injured diving at Roy's feet but luckily he was able to continue. In the 29th minute Peacock was brought down in the area by Carmichael.
Haughney duly put the penalty away to leave the score at half time of Celtic 1-0 Dundee.
Celtic started the second half looking for more goals. Tully shot over, but on the next attack Fernie beat Gray and dribbled in before releasing a tremendous shot which beat Brown all ways.
Dundee had the chance to get one back on several occasions but generally ended up shooting straight at Bell.
Tully made the third goal with a dash down the wing before centring and his cross coming off the face of the crossbar where Brown only succeeded in palming it onto Rowan and the ball rolled over the line for the third goal. Just after this Malloy's attempted pass back eluded brown for a fourth goal.
Merchant pulled one back for Dundee just before the end.
