Review
Celtic were 2-0 down at half time and had to fight back hard for the win. Stirling Albion, already doomed to relegation from Division Aput up a tremendous performance in the first half with no better performer than Mitchell in the Bino's goal. Celtic strangely started slowly and they could have been two goals down in the first 15 minutes but for big saves from Bonnar. For once the wing halves were not on form and Stein had to have his wits about him in defense. Stirlings two goals came from Stein errors giving away a free kick for the first and underhitting a passback for the second.
The fight back in the second half was nothing if not determined. Collins was fouled in the area and Haughney put away the penalty. Mitchell put up a tremendous show in the Stirling goal to deny wave after wave of Celtic attacks till the 80th minute when Boden equalised brilliantly. Two minutes from time Stein got the winning goal from a corner.
