Review
After a good deal of Celtic pressure in the opening 15 minutes, Dunfermiline opened the scoring against the run of play. They went two goals up and even further against the play on 37 minutes, but this was a measure of the attacking that Celtic were doing and the subsequent ability and space given to the Pars to hit on the break. Celtic pulled one back on 41 minutes when Tully tapped home a Walsh pass.
In the second half Celtic's persistence won the day. Walsh scored after hitting the bar and collecting the rebound. His second came after a save made by Mackin from Peacock. He scored his hatrick after collecting a Fernie pass.
This win put Celtic up to second in the table but Aberdeen still had games in hand and were playing well.
