Trivia
- Tully was out unfit so the whole team was juggled around with Frank Meechan coming in at left back for Neil Mochan who moved forward; Frank Whyte came in at right wing half with Wille Fernie moving forward.
- Bobby Collins and Bobby Evans had played in a 2-0 win for Scotland in the game against Wales at Hampden on the 9th November.
Review
Celtic's first goal came from an excellent move involving Walsh and Collins and finished by Neil Mochan. Dundee had chances but failed to capitalise and Beattie was the busier keeper in the first half .
Celtic went top of the league on goal average from Queen of the South. The league was very tight with only seven points separating top of the league and next-to-bottom Motherwell, with plenty of clubs with games in hand.
