- A sevn o'clock kick off and dark thunderous clouds overhead saw to it that the game finished in gathering gloom.
Review
A great game by all accounts.
Rangers led 3-0 at halftime and it looked over for Celtic. Scott had scored in the eigth minute and further goals rom Simpson and Murray appeared to have the Bhoys on the ropes. But in the second half the team fought back first with a goal from Eric Smith, a header from a Tully cross to the back post, and with Evans and Peacock urging the team on, Collins disposessed Young and passed to McPhail to finish. A passing move then between Collins and Smith saw the ball worked to McPhail who carefully tucked away his second to level the match. When it looked as though Celtic might pull off a great saver of a game, and even go on to win the game Fallon made a hash of a pass out of defense to Tully which was intercepted by McColl, who passed to Hubbard who despatched the winning goal past Beattie.
