Review
Thistle got the game going and Beattie parried two shots. Ryan and Mochan had efforts on goal saved. McPhail had the ball in the net on 18 minutes only for it to be ruled offside. McIntosh opened the scoring for Thistle with a good long range shot that Beattie could only watch as it passed him. Celtic were under pressure and only a diving save from Beattie and a goal line clearance from Fallon kept the score down. Further Thistle pressure followed in the second half before Peacock switched with Ryan with Mochan going to centre forward. The move triggered the Celtic equaliser when Mochan ran onto a Fernie pass and fired home a left foot shot. The goal reinvigorated Celtic but they could not find a winner in the final half hour.
