Trivia
- The third game in five days and a 5:30 pm kick off at Celtic Park. The only change to the team from the Monday game against Queen's Park was the inclusion of a fit Billy McPhail at the expense of Alec Byrne. Bertie Peacock was on international duty.
Review
Celtic gained revenge for the Scottish Cup defeat by Clyde with a 6-2 hammering. The strength of the win rested on a sound defense in which Bobby Evans was yet again the mastermind and the rock.
