Review
I am grateful to Celtic Graves Society for information on this short tour of Ireland. The only reference found in the available Glasgow newspaper archives is a short article in the Evening Times of 22nd May, 1958. Evans, Collins and Fernie were absent as they were with the Scotland World Cup players at Turnberry.Of these four players, only Fernie had failed to sign the new terms presented to him by Celtic for the coming season.
The article also mentions three others signed on provisional forms – Joe Logan, John Colquhoun and Roy Paton – who would stay at Maryhill Harp for the next season.
