- This was the replay of the 1-1 draw played on the Saturday at Love Street. The game was on the Wednesday night with a 7:30 pm kick off. Though the pitch was playable on the Tuesday, overnight snow and frost made the pitch unplayable of the Wednesday and the game was delayed for a further week. The weather was causing havoc with the fixture list and a further 7 Cup Ties and replays had to be further postponed. A further attempts were made on the 22nd and 23rd with the ground was again unplayable.
- Celtic had been due to play Third Lanark at Celtic Park on the Saturday 20th February but this too fell foul of the weather.
- There were no changes to either side from the teams that played in the first game at Love Street..
- The draw was made for the third round of the Cup. The winners of this tie would face Elgin City away.
Review
With the fixture complications due to the weather there was a push to get this game on. Mochan scored first but back came St Mirren to hold a 3-1 lead at half time. Urged on by Mocan Celtic drew level with goals from Divers and Mochan. This took the game to extra time. In the eigth minute kennedy went to clear a ball for it to ricochet of Bryceland and trickle into the net. Celtic threw everything at St Mirren and Divers equalised again to take the game to a further replay.
With the availability of a neutral ground uncertain both managers tossed for the rights to hold the game and Jimmy McGrory won.The game would be played on the next night
