Review
After initial clashes this settled down in the first half to a series of midfield skirmishes with both sets of half backs going turn and turn about. In the 25th minute Celtic won a corner taken by Colrain. The ball sailed over and Chalmers took a mighty leap to head home for Celtic. Rangers threw everything at the Celtic goal but also had to survive an excellent header from Divers.
Rangers came out for the second half with the wind at their backs and proceeded to camp in the Celtic half searching for the equaliser. Celtic's forwards were dangerous whenever they saw the ball, no more so than Mochan. Rangers equaliser arrived in the 68th minute from a Millar header. Celtic desperately held out for the final twenty minutes.
