Review
Celtic were twice ahead and twice pegged back by an injury-riven Third Lanark, and lost to a goal caused more or less by the icy conditions. Divers got the opener from a pass from Gallacher. Third Lanark almost immediately equalised when Haffey yet again pushed out a fairly innocuous looking cross directly to an opposition player and Harley scored. Celtic's second on 28 minutes was well crafted with Fernie and Peacock winning an opening for Divers to fire in a shot which could only be parried and Chalmers was the first to the rebound. As it began to snow Thirds came back again Hilley and Harley combining well for Harley to get his second.
Despite the snow neither team was ready to give up and both sides had good attempts in the second half. The winner came when Goodfellow was put through and he managed to slip the ball past McNeill then shoot against Haffey before prodding the rebound home with McNeill and Peacock in close attendance.
