Review

After giving away two goals Celtic bucked their ideas up and began to dominate play. In the second half in particular they had a near monopoly of the play but were unable to capitalise on possession. Hughes put the finishing touch to brilliant build up work by Crerand and Chalmers. Aberdeen's first goal came when a Crerand headed clearance of a Hogg lobb went straight uip in the air and on return to Earth Cooke shot home. Their second came when Billy McNeill messed up a clearance on the 18 yard line letting in Cummings who shot home.
