Review
Raith had a shout for a penalty early which was not given. The teams were fairly evenly matched at the start. Gradually Celtic got the better of the game and in the 30th minute Bobby Murdoch scored a great goal with a powerful shot from a Byrne cross.
Celtic came out looking for more in the second half. Just over half an hour in Celtic were awarded a penalty and Billy McNeill shot the spot kick home.
At the end of the second month of the season Celtic stood at 6th in the League table
