Trivia
- The thaw set in almost exactly on the 1st March and by 2nd the pitch was playable. Billy McNeill was fit and recovered from the leg strain that had kept him out of the Friendly against Glentoran on the 28th.
- Ex-Celt Jimmy Rowan was at inside right for Airdrie and scored Airdrie's goal
Review
A very heavily sanded pitch for the game.
Hardly exhibition football given the conditions, but football anyway after such a long lay off with the weather.
