Celtic opened the scoring with a penalty after Bennett had impeded Chalmers. On 39 minutes Celtic won another penalty for another tackle on Chalmers. This time MacKay blazed wide. In the second half Chalmers picked up 2 goals – the first a 20 yard shot and the second a shot from a Hughes cross.
