Review
The Thistle goal was under constant threat from Celtic throughout the game. However it was Thistle that went ahead whan Hainey scored against Fallon. Celtic piled on the pressure with corner after corner but could not break down the final Thistle defensive shield. It was not till twenty minutes from the end that John Clark took a free kick and initially it looked as though reserve keeoper Gray had it covered but he allowed the ball to slip through his fingers and into the net. Seven minutes from time Chalmers accepted a pass from Divers and took the ball forward and shot and Gray allowed the ball to slide underneath him.
