Review

For the second game in a row Celtic came up against determined opposition and made heavy weather of the game Clyde threatened from the start and McFarlane's goal came when he piked the ball up and was allowed to advance unchallenged for 30 yards before releasing an unstoppable shot. Murdoch did not look fully fit and probably came back too soon. Celtic pushed and tried for an equaliser but Clyde defended well and it was not till th 83rd minute that Steve Chalmers pulled Celtic level. Only really Chalmers and Johnstone played well for Celtic and there was a distinct lack of urgentcy in their play.
