Review

A good win for Celtic. Divers gave them a great start with two headed goals in the first quarter of an hour, the first from a Chalmers cross and the second from a Murdoch cross cross. This was shortly followed with a third from John Hughes who latched onto an error by Clunie. St Mirren pulled one back from a young Archie gemmell playing only his third game for the Buddies. Bobby Murdoch added a fourth for Celtic in the second half.
