- Played on a Monday. The only change was Jimmy Johnstone in on the right wing instead of Steve Chalmers, with Stevie moving to centre forward replacing John Hughes who was the victim of a stomach upset.
- Celtic to play Queens Park in the final. Queen's Park had played out there side of the draw a log time ago and waited for this side of the draw to be completed.
Review
Celtic eased into the Glasgow Cup final with a comprehensive victory. This would be their fifth successive year in the Galsgow Cup final. Jimmy Johnstone impressed after losing his place for the Scottish Cup Final on April 24th.
Bertie Auld scored with a header from a Lennox cross. Billy McNeill then scored a replica of his Hampden Cup Final goal from an Auld corner. And Bobby Lennox got the third from a Jimmy Johnstone cross.
