Review
Celtic gave a reasonable account of themselves with a good number away either with the Scotland side on international duty or like Bobby Murdoch left at home for one reasson or another. Bertie Auld hit the post. Divers came on for Maxwell in the secpond half and gave Celtic a slight advantage. Cushley had Smith in his pocket all night – another reason to believe that Cushley was at centre half.
Teams
There is a little doubt as to the positioning of the Celtic team. It is likely that Cushley was at centre half, Gemmell at left back, with Clark and O'Neill as the wing halfs. Also the FC Austria team list comes from the 'obscure' match report from the Herald.
