Trivia
- The third game against Tottenham Hotspur on the tour.
- Played at the Empire Stadium, Vancouver.
Review
Jimmy Johnstone came very close to getting sent off in this game. He was ordered off by the referee after disputing the equalising goal but after the officials of both sides intervened he was allowed to stay on the pitch. There was something of a bad taste left by this . Johnstone HAD arranged to leave with Ian Young after the game but he had been persuaded by the touring party to stay on till after the Bayern Munich game due to injuries to the squad on tour. Following this rumpus he insisted on returning home at the earliest opportunity.
