Review
Joe McBride's return to League matches lasted only two minutes. He was injured in a collision with George Gibson, the Falkirk left half and was led from the field with blood streaming from a gashed head. Willie Wallace came on as sub.
In 21 minutes Steve Chalmers finished a great goal. Auld's corner came in, Wallace back-heeled the ball to Hughes whose shot was headed home by Chalmers. Nine minutes later he got a second firing home a Gemmell lob into the area. Hughes got a goal just before the final whistle.
