Review
Willy Wallace, after his somewhat lacklustre performance at Ibrox, got Celtic off to a flyer with a goal on 1 minute and followed it up with a second after a further eight minutes as sleet began to fall. Dunfermiline refused to give up though and pulled on back through Edwards. They had a further goal disallowed for a foul on Fallon.
In the second half Bobby Lennox added the third goal which secured the points, but this was a good game with Dunfermiline up to the challenge throughout the match. Jimmy Johnstone came on for Lennox for the last ten minutes of the game.
