Review
The last League game of the season saw David Cattanach and Vic Davidson make appearances in the first team.
Despite the applause onto the field, St Mirren were not about to knuckle under and played well at the start of the game and went ahead on ten minutes when Blair beat Connelly and scored. A Tommy Gemmell corner onm 40 minutes went to hood who volleyed the ball home to see even the scores and a minute later debutant Davidson finished after a brilliant run by Bobby Lennox.
In the second half Callaghan scored soon after the restart with a header. Celtic piled on the pressure but failed to add to the three goals and Blair pulled a goal back for the Buddies just before the end.
